AJ Raval also wants to be recognized for her acting skills
Showbiz newbie AJ Raval is still not wholly embracing the “hubadera” roles that she is playing onscreen because she wanted to be known in a different field.
Apparently, intimate scenes in movies have gained popularity once again these days. AJ got the chance to be launched as one of the actresses of Viva despite that there is an ongoing pandemic.
She started her career in showbiz through movies in which she had to do intimate scenes. After a few movies with the same theme, AJ Raval admitted that she is still not fully grasping this onscreen image that she has now, based on the article in the Philippine Star.
“Medyo hindi ko pa po tinatanggap yung pagpapa-sexy sa sarili ko. I would still deny it. Parang, ‘Hindi po ako ganun.’ Nandun po yung words na yun ‘pag baguhan ka, eh,” she said.
The showbiz newbie, on the other hand, that hearing positive feedback from directors, her manager, and bosses of Viva, she is appreciating the work that she has done in movies.
For her latest film Hugas, she is paired once again with Sean de Guzman. They already did the movies Taya and Nerisa. With this, they already have a foundation on the set. “Sa mga maiinit na eksena, hindi na kami talaga naiilang. Kung magkakitaan man kami ng kung anu-anong parte ng katawan namin, wala na kaming pakialam po dun. Everything turns out well naman,” Sean shared.
AJ added that there is no “ilangan” factor anymore and they are comfortable with each other already doing love scenes. The actress also said that she and Sean are looking forward to having the chance to be recognized for their acting skills.
