DLSU Declares Class & Work Suspension From Jan. 10-15, 2022

WALANG PASOK – DLSU has declared class and work suspension from January 10 to 15, 2022 due to prevalence of illness.

On Friday (January 7, 2022), De La Salle University made the announcement on its Facebook page. The announcement came from the Office of the Brother President after receiving the health survey.

The health survey shows the prevalence of illness among their community. According to the survey, about 60 percent of the community members were affected by the sickness. The survey has been conducted on Thursday (January 6).

Work Suspension

The current situation leads the school management to declare the suspension works and classes from January 10 to 15, 2022. The class cancellation covers all levels (nursery to grade 12, undergraduate, graduate school including the College of Law).

The school would conduct another health survey on January 13 and the resumption of classes will be announced afterwards. The academic calendar will also adjusted due to the incident.

The management is also hoping for the fast recovery of those who were affected by the illness. The note also urged the community to observe the health safety protocols.

Suspension of Classes and Work from January 10 to 15, 2022

A health survey conducted among our community members yesterday revealed that close to 60% of our community members are currently sick. With such prevalence of illness, COVID and non-COVID, classes at all levels (nursery to grade 12, undergraduate, graduate school including the College of Law) are hereby suspended from January 10 to 15, 2022.

Work, including work from home, is also suspended on all campuses for the same period.

We will conduct another health survey on January 13 to inform our decision on the resumption of classes.

There shall be adjustments in the academic calendar which will be announced later.

Let us pray for the quick recovery of those who are ill, and may we continue to remain vigilant and follow the IATF guidelines on safe distancing, hygiene, and sanitation protocols.
