Iloilo City Mayor Orders Prohibition Against People without Booster Shot to Enter City Hall
Iloilo City Mayor Jerry Treñas has ordered prohibition against people who are not injected with booster shot to enter city hall.
Due to the threat of the Omicron form of coronavirus disease in 2019, Treas announced that those who have not received booster doses will not be admitted into City Hall (COVID-19). He went on to say that this is for both City Hall personnel and anyone who wish to conduct business.

Starting January 17, 2022, the mayor’s directive will be fully implemented in the city. Anyone entering the facility must display COVID-19 Booster Cards, according to him, to ensure that they are not pierced by individuals who do not have booster injections.
Despite opposition to the system, the mayor promised to implement it next year. Melchor Tan, the city administrator, also issued a memo order announcing Treas’ announcement.
Iloilo City Hall is one of the few official facilities in the Philippines that only allows fully vaccinated people to enter, based on the report of Manila Bulletin. It did say, though, that anyone without booster shots who made a transaction at City Hall would be given parking outside the building.
All people wanting to enter the Iloilo City Hall have their COVID-19 immunization cards checked by guards. The Treñas administration has been doing this since August 2, when the threat of the Delta variant became clear.
