Many Filipinos are currently residing in evacuation centers and makeshift shelters. They lost their homes due to Odette’s fury; some were devastated by floods and severe winds, while others were struck by falling trees.

During the disaster, most communication and electricity cables were down. Odette, the strongest typhoon to hit the Philippines in 2021, has declared the State of Calamity in numerous parts of the country.

Meanwhile, after the debut of “Arts and Tattoos for a Cause” in Quezon City on Tuesday, the breathtaking works of humanitarian artists and tattooists are no longer only a form of self-expression. The project intends to send aid to the victims of Typhoon Odette, which caused serious devastation in Visayas and Mindanao, as the community joins in large-scale relief operations.

“For those of you who are looking for a way to help the victims of Typhoon Odette, you might consider buying arts and getting tattoos from our humanitarian artists and tattooists. Typhoon Odette wreaked havoc on our island provinces and with inconsistent mobile signals, they are temporary without power and water,” the group said.

Aside from selling artwork and providing commissioned tattoo services, their organization welcomes donations to help with the need for water, food, and alternate energy sources such as a power bank in the affected areas. The program was begun at the Quezon City Memorial Circle on Tuesday, December 28th, and will run until Friday, December 31st.
