Edsel Hecita Polo, 28, JD Umbaro Navales, 24, John Carl Marca Sabino, 18, and three kids were identified as the victims (17, 16, and 14). Due to bullet wounds to various places of the body, they were all treated at Makati Hospital and Taguig Pateros District Hospital.

According to the report, approximately 3 a.m. P. 163, C-5 Service Road, Wildcat Village, Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig City was the location of the shooting. The perpetrators allegedly became enraged and fired an M16 gun at the victims, injuring six people. Meanwhile, Danao urged the general public, as well as uniformed service personnel and other civilian gun owners, to remain cool and avoid putting the effects of alcohol on their heads in order to avoid injuring someone.

“Maraming pamamaraan na hindi gagamitan ng baril o diretsong pagpapaputok ang agarang sagot sa isang pangyayari maliban kung ito ay may banta sa ating buhay. There are a lot of peaceful means to prevent and repel the aggression without resorting to firing your guns. Hindi dahil may baril ka ay passport ninyo na  po yan to indiscriminately fire your firearms and/or to illegally discharge your firearms,” he added.

Meanwhile, Danao stated that Taguig City Police officers are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident in order to uncover the truth and obtain more information on the issue. The NCRPO also reassured the public, particularly victims’ families, that the matter will be handled without fear or favor by the police.
