Ogie Diaz shared this story about the career of Paolo Contis

Comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz made revelations about the decision of actor Paolo Contis to be a Kapuso after several years of being a Kapamilya.

Paolo, as many showbiz fans know, started his showbiz career through ABS-CBN’s defunct kiddie gag show Ang TV when he was so young. From being an adorable child actor who can make the audience laugh or cry, he evolved into doing serious roles.

He became part of the iconic youth-oriented show Tabing Ilog that paved the way to stardom for many cast members like John Lloyd Cruz and Kaye Abad.

In 2004, Paolo decided to transfer to GMA-7 and he has his contract renewal with the Kapuso network in 2019. Ogie revealed in his recent Showbiz Update vlog that he was the one who was finding someone who could manage the career of Paolo as a Kapuso.

This came from this question of Mama Loi: “Paano yan ‘nay kung halimbawang isang araw sabihin ni Paolo gusto niya ikaw na rin mag-manage sa kaniya, tatanggapin mo ba?”

Ogie and Paolo have been friends for several years now. Lolit Solis is currently co-managing Paolo with GMA Artist Center. With that question of Mama Loi, Ogie Diaz answered that he is a Kapamilya and he has no idea about the ins and outs of managing an artist in GMA.

Ni-refer ko si Paolo kay Ate Lolit. Baka pwede niyang i-handle si Paolo. Tapos eventually, naging GMA Artist Center talent na itong si Paolo,” Ogie shared. The comedian-talent manager also shared that once in a while, the I Left My Heart In Sorsogon would ask him advice regarding his career.
