HS Scholars Need Compulsory Attendance For Caravan To Get Clearance Viral
COMPULSORY ATTENDANCE FOR HS SCHOLARS – Recently, a post regarding a required attendance for a caravan went viral on social media.
The CIO LGU of Passi City required city scholars in senior high school and other colleges to join the Mayor in welcoming “guests from other regions and provinces”. Furthermore, several instructions were given to the students that elicited criticism from netizens.
According to the FB post, the city would release the scholars’ clearance only if they attended. Afterward, the city would issue the payroll number for the release in January 2022. Then, afterward, they would sign the clearance.
However, the posts got criticism after one of the instructions said in capital letters “RED TSHIRT” should be worn during the event. Here is a screenshot of the post from Redditor u/haroldsaldy:
Following this, there was a group chat message for the scholars saying that the organizers know that they have their own candidates to lead the country. However, they emphasized that the Mayor and Vice-mayor need support to welcome the “visitors” of the city.
Basically, the translation in the group chat says that scholars should just keep quiet about their objections as the Mayor needs their support. But, it seems like some netizens aren’t in favor of being forced to join a caravan.
That’s low. Why are they forcing kids to be involved in this?, one netizen said. Another said this should be reported to the Department of Education.
Ganito talaga kapag “iskolar” ng pulitiko, lalo ng LGU. Parang may utang na loob ka pa sa pulitiko.
Naalala ko yung nagalit mga estudyante kay Mayor Erap. Yung mga admin ng pamantasan, todo banggit ng “scholar kayo ng city hall.”
