“Humihingi na rin ng paumanhin at pang-unawa ang BBM-Sara UniTeam sa mga motorista, byahero, pamahalaang lungsod at maging sa MMDA (Metropolitan Manila Development Authority) kung ang nasabing Unity Caravan ay nagdulot ng pagsikip sa daloy ng trapiko,” Rodriguez said.

The Quezon City government had already encouraged motorists to avoid the excessive gridlock caused by the political event by taking alternate routes. The Quezon City Police District estimates that the crowd in the area was around 6,000 people.

Marcos Jr. was accompanied by Vice Presidential aspirant Sara Duterte in the motorcade, which began with a meet-and-greet session in the eastbound lane of Commonwealth Avenue, in front of the Commission on Audit’s headquarters. BBM-Sara fans, including motorcycle riders, rushed to the highway in red and green shirts to exhibit togetherness for the political hopefuls for Eleksyon 2022.

In the meantime, Marcos Jr’s camp thanked the Quezon City local government for assisting them during the procession despite their political differences. The grand caravan was led by Anakulusugan party-list Representative Mike Defensor, who is running for mayor of Quezon City.
