Supporters of Bongbong Marcos in Macau Got Arrested Due to Illegal Assembly
Supporters of presidential aspirant Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. were arrested and incarcerated in Macau due to illegal assembly.
Authorities in Macau detained supporters of former senator Marcos for allegedly assembling without permission. The authorities invited 16 Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) to explain why there was an illegal assembly in front of St. Paul Ruins and the Macau Tower, according to a local newspaper in Macau.

Because public gatherings in tourist areas are now prohibited in Macau, the said OFWs could risk incarceration and fines. The OFWs may not be able to work while the investigation is continuing, according to the report.
According to the Philippine Consulate in Macau, the OFWs involved may face deportation as a result of their actions. The Philippine Consulate in Macau issued a warning and advised Filipinos to refrain from participating in political or partisan rallies, assemblies, or other activities, including the usage of banners and uniforms.
“All Filipinos are once again reminded to strictly observe the laws and regulations of the Macau Government and to respect the sensitivities of the local community.” Philippine Consulate in Macau added.
OFW Genilyn Rosa can be seen on Facebook appealing for assistance from her coworkers who support Marcos after they were invited by the authorities in Macau. They have been denied food, assistance, or a bath for 20 hours, she claims.
The so-called ‘Kakampink’ promised assistance, but it is unclear what happened after that. The organizers of the claimed assembly, as well as former Senator Marcos’ team, have yet to issue an official statement.
