Lady Suspect Ransacked by Victims for Scamming About 200 Individuals

Numerous victims have ransacked the home of a lady suspect for scamming over 200 individuals in an online reselling scheme.

A lady suspect in Bais City, Negros Oriental has been ransacked by her victims in an online reselling scam. Several unidentified men whose face were covered raided the scammer’s house. The furious investors were asking for refund.

According to the victims, the scammer identified as Choan Cubate is collecting P1, 000 from each victim in exchange of mobile gadget worth P5, 000. The investors planned to resell mobile gadgets to their buyers.

Unfortunately, the investors did not receive the promised mobile gadgets after a month and start to receive criticisms from their customers. One of the customers, discovered that the culprit victimized a lot of investors.

The barangay hall officials intervened after a lot of victims raided the scammer’s house and brought them to the police station for arrangement. The police officers refused to detain the couple for no charges have been filed.

The suspect promised to return the amount to the investors until November 26 but the latter and her partner did not return to the police station for the settlement.

The victims have decided to file charges of ‘estafa’ against the suspect.

“Sa simula wala talagang problema nakatulong pa sa pamumuhay magkaroon ka ng extrang kita. So, kami nagtiwala kami kay Choan akala naming aasenso kami,” reseller/victim Michelle Jacinto said.
