SSS: Pensioners to Receive Pension & 13th Month Pay on 1st Week of December

The Social Security System (SSS) announced that the pensioners can receive their pension and 13th month pay of pensioners during first week of December.

On Friday (November 27, 2021), SSS president and chief executive officer Aurora Ignacio announced that the agency is set to release the P27.5 billion allocation for the pensions of about 3.14 million Filipino pensioners.

Ignacio said the agency is coordinating with its bank partners for the release of 13th month and December pension. It will released in early December so pensions can use it for the Christmas season.

“We have coordinated with our partner banks to credit the pensions on given dates during the first week of December so that our pensioners can receive and use them in time for the holiday season,” Ignacio said.

The company announced that pensioners with disbursement account using e-wallet, or remittance transfer company/cash payout outlet can receive the amount on December 1 and December 4.

SSS has asked Philippine Postal Corporation to expedite the distribution of 13th month pay and pension of Filipino pensioners who were receiving their benefits by check.

“For those whose pensions were suspended due to previous non-compliance with the Annual Confirmation of Pensioners Program (ACOP) but whose accrued pensions are now for resumption, they will receive the said pensions on the 16th day of the month (if with PESONet participating bank disbursement account) or on their date of contingency (if with non-PESONet participating bank disbursement account),” the agency added.

Those benefits will be a great help for the Filipino pensioners especially during the upcoming Christmas season.
