Pinay Escapes From Abusive Employer, Falls From 2nd Floor In Paris Apartment
PINAY ESCAPES ABUSE – An Overseas Filipino Worker managed to escape from an abusive employer but falls down from the 2nd floor in doing so.
A Filipina named “Jenny” tied the ends of blankets in order to make a rope going down the street from the apartment she was staying in Paris. However, the blankets weren’t enough and she was left dangling several feet of the ground.

Luckily, the Filipino community in Paris quickly helped Jenny along with ABS-CBN news. Afterward, good samaritans called an ambulance to bring Jenny to a hospital.
After hearing the ruckus, Jenny’s employer woke up in a rage. But, they couldn’t do anything but allow her to be taken to the hospital.

According to Jenny, her employer from France brought her from Qatar as a domestic helper. But, she said she was kept locked up and mistreated. Based on a report from ABS-CBN, correspondent Bong Agustinez said:
“Gusto raw niyang tumakas sa kanyang employer dahil minamaltrato siya, Pagdating ng mga imbestigador, sinabi namin ang katotohanan”
Now, Jenny has her passport back and is recovering in the hospital after getting an operation for her legs. Jenny said she was paid 350 euros or roughly 20,000 pesos per month. But, she’s working at least 15 hours per day and has no days off.
Jenny says whenever her employees leave, they lock her inside the house so she can’t get out. “Sobra pong bastos niya kung ano-ano na po ang ginagawa niya, pinapagawa niya sa akin”, she said.
Still, despite the mistreatment she received, Jenny said she pushed through for her three children. She explained that she would work from 6 am to 12 am.
