IG Influencers Jailed, Sent To Gulag After Pranking Taxi Driver
INFLUENCERS JAILED – Three pranksters popular on social media platforms such as Instagram are sentenced to 3-5 years to the Gulag for pranking a taxi driver.
Russian influencer Ayin Tussupov currently has over 1.2 million followers on his Instagram account. Now, added to his list of achievements are 3-5 years in the slammer.
Back in March 2021, he and two other pranksters made a video about how they pranked a taxi driver. In the video, you could see the passengers initially sitting down in the car.
But, when they asked the driver for help with the shopping bags, they took over the driver seat and drove off. However, the taxi driver didn’t take their stunt lightly.
As such, a case was filed against Dumshebay E., Tusupov A., and, Khasanov R. N. Meanwhile, according to an article from MMORPG news, the three were found guilty of violating paragraph 2 of Article 166 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
Initially, their sentence was three years and six months. Moreover, they also needed to serve in a general regime penal colony. Following the sentence, authorities took the influencers into custody.
As per the article, authorities will most likely send the influencers to Camps 500 km away from Moscow. Furthermore, the camps are usually built in small towns in hard-to-reach areas.
Additionally, the camps hold around 800 detainees while other prisoners live in baracks. Unfortunately, these barracks only have one toilet and one washbasin.
