Here’s the story of how LJ Moreno lost the valuables she had when they were moving.
LJ MORENO – Famous actress LJ Moreno shares the story of the time when she lost both of her engagement and wedding bands.
Lari Jeanne Lacsamana Ricafort or more popularly known as LJ Moreno is married to basketball icon Jimmy Alapag. They tied the knot last 2010. Alapag has retired already from being a professional basketball player and he now serves as an assistant coach to head coach Bobby Jackson of the G League of the Sacramento Kings basketball team, the Stockton Kings. G League is the official minor league of the NBA.
LJ and Jimmy have already moved to the United States and they have also found a home there where they and their kids can live comfortably. Their house has a big space, a spacious backyard, for their kids and it has four bedrooms. And while they were in the process of moving, LJ has lost something that is valuable to her – her engagement ring and wedding ring.
She suspected that the thieves who had her valuables are the movers. She shared, “It’s really sad, kasi from the Philippines, di ba, ang dami din naming valuables and ang daming movers din, pero in the Philippines, wala naman nawala or anything. Pero dito kasi, there were, like, four movers. In the beginning, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt.”
Accordingly, she was in the shower when they started disassembling their things to prepare for the move. She can clearly remember that before going into the shower, she left her two rings inside the drawer, and beside them is her Rolex watch. She trusted that nothing will be stolen because, in the Philippines, they moved houses a lot of times already but nothing got lost in their things.
What she did after discovering that she lost her rings is to pray. She said, “Well, pinag-pray ko na lang sila. Bahala na.“
It was already late when she found out that there were bad reviews about the movers. Many customers have complained about their lost things and it was already too late for her.
