In his comeback, many fans still welcomed him with open arms as he is set to soar again with projects that would be instilled once again in the hearts of his viewers.

For his return, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho featured him for its anniversary special. In the interview, John Lloyd Cruz shared what made him decide to take his so-called break.

He said that he has been working for 20 years straight, doing one project from the other. The actor reached the point that he needs to escape from that routine. John Lloyd shared that he wanted to shed off some things that he has acquired in showbiz for the past 2 decades.

During that time, everyone looks up to him as a matinee idol. Apparently, it is because of his good boy roles in movies and teleseryes. The characters that he portrayed depicted a person who is very likable.

Iba talaga ang power ng pelikula. Magaling lang siguro yung mga direktor na bumuo ng mga characters ko,” John Lloyd Cruz said about his roles adding that it is indeed flattering for him.

However, the A-list actor pointed out the down side of this.“Pero may great danger na kalakip, e. Hahaha! Parang bawal ka magkamali, especially sa mata ng audience mo. I think yun ang kapalit nun,” he said.
