Crocodile Caught on Camera After Attacking & Swallowing Helpless Dog in Tawi-Tawi

A salt-water crocodile has been caught on camera while swallowing a helpless dog in Panglima, Sugala, Tawi-Tawi 

One resident was able to film a horrifying incident when a terrifying crocodile suddenly attacked and swallowed a poor dog beside the shore. The residents were already used to similar incidents.

A man named Radzman Jawadilna shared his terrifying encounter with a crocodile a couple of years ago. The fisherman narrated that a crocodile bites him while catching fish in the ocean.

Helpless Dog

Salt-water crocodiles can be regularly spotted in the islands of Tawi-Tawi and there are seasons that these reptiles are visiting the residences in the area. These animals usually hides underneath houses during high-tide.

Wildlife vet Doc. Nielsen Donato explained that humans are not included on crocodile’s diet but those reptiles are known as opportunistic feeder wherein they consume any available prey.

Numerous crocodile attacks have been recorded in Panglima, Sugala but the residents did not plant grudge against those reptiles. The residents consider them as the territory owner and people were just their caretaker.

Crocodiles or true crocodiles are large semiaquatic reptiles that live throughout the tropics in Africa, Asia, the Americas and Australia. It is considered as carnivores, which usually feed on weaker preys in the surrounding.

The environmental experts prohibit hunting crocodiles and alligators to maintain the world’s ecosystem. Environmentalists also advised the public to help maintain the reptile’s sanctuary.
