Marian Rivera was asked about her past issue with Bela Padilla
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera has broken her silence on her “padlock” issue with Kapamilya actress Bela Padilla.
The controversy began in 2010 during the filming of the defunct Kapuso teleserye Endless Love. Rumors and blind items circulated at that time, claiming that Marian was furious over a scene where Bela allegedly hugged Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes, who is now Marian’s husband.
It was said that the hug was a bit too close. Reports circulating at the time were aggravated by Bela’s former manager, Claire dela Fuente, who claimed that Marian cornered Bela and locked her inside a comfort room (CR) to confront her.

In a recent episode of Gandang Gabi Vice (GGV), hosted by Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda, Marian Rivera clarified the said issue with Bela Padilla.
The Kapuso actress was asked about the “urban legend.” Vice was respectful by asking if Marian wanted to talk about it or not. “Yung padlock, padlock dati. Did it really happen?” the comedian-host asked.
Marian stressed that she and Bela are now okay. She shared that their “reconciliation” happened way back when Bela guested on Marian’s show.
The Kapuso actress was asked if it was okay for her to have Bela as a guest on her show, and she said that there was no issue with her.

“Pumunta siya (Bela), nagkita kaming dalawa, nag-sorry siya sa akin,” Marian said, adding that Bela knew that there were things that were supposed to have happened but in reality did not happen.
The Kapuso actress also said that she does not need to explain this on social media, but since Vice has opened up this topic, she is willing to open up also.
Marian also pointed out that she never talked about this publicly because people already have perceptions in their minds. “Ang mahalaga, kaming dalawa, kapag nagkikita kami, okay na kami at ako, para sa akin, napatawad ko na siya,” she said.
When it comes to the rumored padlock incident, Marian Rivera asserted that this never happened. She also pointed out that it was impossible to lock someone from the outside when the comfort room’s lock is inside.
