Sen. Pacquiao Speaks on Votes from Fellow Bisaya in Visayas, Mindanao
PACQUIAO – Presidential aspirant and Senator Manny Pacquiao is confident that he will win the votes of his fellow Bisaya in Mindanao and Visayas.
In the Election 2022, one of the aspirants for the presidential position is Sen. Manny Pacquiao. He is currently on his first term in the Senate after winning a spot in the 2016 poll.
The Senator first established a name in the boxing field. He defeated several popular boxing champions from other countries and put the Philippines in the ring for being a champion of eight (8) different weight divisions. When he announced his pursuit to run for president, it was followed by his announcement that he is retiring from his boxing career.
The boxer-turned-Senator is currently busy meeting people and laying what he wants to happen as he runs for president in the Election 2022. He is vocal that he wants to help the poor Filipinos.
Sen. Manny Pacquiao often stresses that he also came from poverty thus he can really relate to the poor. According to him, he is seeking the presidential seat as he believes that he can help more people by being a government official.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Sen. Manny Pacquiao is confident that his fellow Bisaya in Visayas and Mindanao will cast their votes on him. His statement came when he paid a courtesy call to Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando.
“I’m sure yung mga Mindanaoan tsaka Bisaya, maso-solid ko naman siguro yun dahil pareho kaming mga bisaya. Siyempre, saan pa boboto yung mga Bisaya? Sa kapwa Bisaya,” the boxer-turned-Senator said.
The presidential aspirant was previously criticized for giving away money in some places has visited. Meanwhile, he was unfazed by it saying that he has been doing it since before. Many people including fellow candidates in the Election 2022 also defended the boxer-turned-Senator’s act.
According to the Senator, he is excited about the presidential debate. He stressed that he wants to prove himself to people who belittle his capacity.
