Netizen Sadly Departs With Face Shield Following 2 Years Of Protection

NETIZEN SADLY DEPARTS WITH FACE SHIELD – Recently, President Rodrigo Duterte said face shields are no longer mandatory in areas below Alert Level 2.

As such, the use of face shields is now optional in public spaces. This meant people, who oftentimes only wear face shields to get inside establishments, don’t have to wear it at all!

Due to this announcement, many Filipino share their joy and excitement as if they’ve gained freedom for the first time. For a span of almost 2 years, a sea of face shields can be seen, perched gently above people’s heads – but not anymore.

During the age of face shields, people would more than likely lose their face shields or get them broken. Therefore, many buy new ones. However, one netizen refused to depart from his trusty partner in protection.

A netizen on Facebook named Jonathan shared his story about how he stayed loyal to one face shield. In a Facebook post, Jonathan said:

“almost 2years din kita nakasama. kahit pinag tatawanan na tayo ikaw pa din pinili ko. salamat sa pag protekta sa akin. mwa”

Despite the odds, the beaten-up state the face shield is in, and ridicule from others, both stayed strong. But, as Duterte removed the mandate, Jonathan has to depart from his unlikely friend.

Due to his sincere firewall post for his face shield, netizens from all over the country chimed in to give support. “Vintage Faceshield since DAY 1”, said one netizen. “Money well-spent award goes to…”, said another.
