Willie Revillame Clarifies Allegations That He Will Be Bong Go’s Running Mate

GMA’s Wowowin host Willie Revillame clarified the allegations that he will be the running mate of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go.

On November 16, Revillame was seen with presidential aspirant and senator Bong Go at the unveiling of the 149th Malasakit Center at San Lorenzo Ruiz General Hospital in Malabon City. One of those who offered speeches in the brief program for it was the TV host.

He said that he had a conversation with President Rodrigo Duterte and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte at 3 a.m., which he would share; nevertheless, it was not about the rumored’sniffing’ him to be Sen. Go’s vice presidential running mate in the 2022 race.

Willie recently spoke with President Duterte and Senator Go, but he dismissed speculations that he was seeking for a national position, instead opting for increased public service. Willie is a member of the ‘Tutok to Win’ party, which is named after his Wowowin show.

It may be remembered that in October, Willie declared on his show that he had no intention of entering politics, despite President Duterte pushing him to run for senator. He delivered another ‘COC’ in the program instead of a Certificate of Candidacy or COC: his Copy of Contract with GMA Kapuso Network, in order to continue public service through his show.

Willie also stated that he did not complete high school, and he did not want to appear illiterate in front of the honorable senators today, where he might be laughed at. Many people welcomed Willie’s decision since he did not encourage well-known and prominent people to enter politics; it is possible to aid fellow Filipinos even if you do not hold a government position.
