Reasons Why Sara Chose To Run For VP Instead Of President According To Mike Lopez
WHY SARA CHOSE VP – A close confidant of Sara Duterte-Carpio explained why the Davao City Mayor wanted to run for the VP instead of President.
Last Saturday, Sara announced her plans to run for Vice President in the 2022 elections. According to Sara, this was her way of meeting her supporters halfway.
Despite top ratings in national surveys for the Presidency, Sara opted to go for the VP route. But, what exactly urged her to do so?
Well, according to Mike Acebedo Lopez, Sara thought about running for President in early May-June. In a Facebook comment, Lopez said:
“I witnessed her decision-making process. I was in some of the crucial meetings when BBM was just wanting to be her VP and she encouraged him to run for president”.
He added, that this was one of the reasons why Bongbong Marcos took longer to decide. Furthermore, he said that BBM was willing to give up the presidential post last minute if ever Sara changes her mind.
“It took her some time to eventually decide to be VP, to at least meet her supporters halfway. PRD knows exactly why she didn’t vie for the Presidency when she actually considered it May-June”.
Additionally, Lopez said that he knows this from being with Sara during important meetings both in-person and online. Furthermore, he stressed that his words were facts and not simply hearsay.
