During the early days of the housemates inside the house, Anji and KD have been a bit hesitant to strike an interaction despite being familiar with each other. However, when KD opened up about his anxiety, they started to get close to each other again until their closeness started to give other housemates a different idea about them because of it.
Weeks passed by and Anji seemingly started to feel like something. She felt tired because she feels responsible for his sadness all the time. And finally confronting him about this, Anji bravely conversed with him about her feelings and clarified straightly that their relationship will never reach that point where they can be together romantically.
In the recent episode, Anji and KD admitted their past. They accordingly were in the MU status before but something came up, like an emotional struggle on the part of Anji, as the reason why their budding romance did not bloom. As they stayed longer inside the house, the two eventually opened up about their story to their fellow housemates.
She told KD that she’s aware of his feelings for her but she cut it short saying she doesn’t feel the same way. She cared for her as a friend but there will never be a chance. She wanted him to move on and KD is still just in the process of it. When she was asked why, Anji answered him honestly that having a relationship is not something she came there for.
Making things lighter, she assured him that they will still be friends. But for KD, what he felt is accordingly something he can’t easily take off in a day. In the end, what Anji really wanted him is to move on, the reason why she dropped it off to him. She wanted KD to help himself.
People online admired Anji’s bravery and assertiveness. They also commended her for sticking to her principles and knowing what she wants. Many sympathize with KD for rejection, from any angle, is hurtful. However, netizens also did not neglect the part where Anji did it for KD’s sake as well.
