On Monday early morning (November 8, 2021), the Quezon City Task Force Disiplina launched a clearing operation with the aim to remove the illegal vendors at the sidewalk causing road obstruction.

The task force confiscated the products including vegetables and other products because it causes traffic congestion along the road. The vendors already knew that it is prohibited to sell in the area but they have no other options.

The street vendors violated the policy just to earn money and feed their families amid the coronavirus pandemic. The vendors are asking for a little bit of consideration from the authorities.

The Task Force Disiplina operation chief Deck Pelembergo explained that they are not against the vendors but the city just prohibit them in certain areas to avoid causing inconvenience along the road.
