Squid Game Dalgona Challenge Leaves Children With Horrific Burns

Squid Game Dalgona Challenge Causes Severe Burns After Children Immediate It

DALGONA CHALLENGE – Amongst the most popular games in Netflix’s hit series, “Squid Game”, was the Dalgona Challenge. However, this seemingly innocent game has left children with literal scars.

The Dalgona Challenge is particularly simple. One needs to cut out the shape etched in the middle of a circular Dalgona Candy. Obviously, the game in itself sounds simple enough.

But, when it comes to creating the Dalgona Candy itself can sometimes be challenging – or dangerous, especially if kids make it. So, how exactly did the kids get burnt by something this simple?

According to doctors, honeycomb, unlike water, has a higher boiling point. Furthermore, because of its consistency, the honeycomb can easily stick to the skin.

Oliver Sawyer, a plastic surgeon consultant at the Birmingham Children’s hospital said:

We’re really worried after seeing several children with very deep skin injuries caused by scalds linked to this social media trend

Given the very high boiling point of the substance any scalds do really have potential to cause serious scarring

Still, you can’t stop children from imitating the popular challenge. As such, the doctor urged parents to accompany their children if they plan on doing the Dalgona Challenge.

We advise that children should be accompanied by an adult if they want to use the oven hob or heat that could have the potential to cause serious injuries

Because of the recent incidents surrounding the Dalgona Challenge, the Birmingham Children’s hospital warned parents of the “real dangers” of kids recreating the new trend.
