This is what Enchong Dee said about switching networks and why he finds it hards to do it.
ENCHONG DEE – Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee opens up about transferring to another network and shares why he will never do it.
In a previous article, Kapamilya actor Enhong Dee admits to having several attempts to quit in showbiz. However, he is always reminded by his manager’s words: “an actor is an actor for life and will return again and again”. And for him who is passionate about what he does and loves doing his craft, such plans to take a break have been halted several times also until it never happened.
The actor has been in the industry for over 15 years already and he’s grateful that he is a part of the ABS-CBN. What just keeps him bothered are the lock-in tapings. He is still yet to get used to it. To recall, the COVID-19 situation has caused major changes in production shoots and to many things as well. And along with the pandemic, a big challenge also came to his network – it was closed down after its franchise faced failure in terms of renewal.
When it closed down, he admitted to receiving a handful of offers from other networks which he all declined. He chose to stay a loyal Kapamilya and refused to accept those. Accordingly, he is at a point in his career now that what matters most is the relationship he has already established and not the money.
He added, “Ayoko ng magsimula ng bagong relationship because I feel like I was able to establish a good relationship with people that I’ve worked with for the past 15 years. And ang hirap ulit magsimula, that’s number one.”
The actor has other plans like becoming a business tycoon and for number three, he feels like this is the time his network would need him the most. He witnessed several artists leaving already but with valid reasons. He understands those who left because of their reasons and it is accordingly just his own opinion.
