Enchong Dee talked about his MMK episode
Kapamilya actor Enchong Dee is featured in the Maalaala Mo Kaya episode titled Ink of Smile for the longest-running drama anthology’s 30th anniversary.
Enchong will portray cosmetic tattooist Edwin Pranada on screen who is giving his services for free for people who suffer from alopecia or hair loss. The actor shared that at first, he did not realize that the project given to him is a big responsibility.
Based on the article in PUSH, Enchong felt pressured. Doing this episode was also stressful for him but in the end, it was so fulfilling. He is thankful that Direk Jerome Pobocan guided him.
“Sabi ko kay direk, ‘Gabayan mo ko. Tulungan mo ko dito kasi yung responsibilidad na nakalagay sa shoulders natin ay napakalaki at napakabigat’ and sabi ko, ‘I just want to make you proud, I just want to make my company proud, and I just want to make my management proud.’ I want to make myself proud also,” Enchong Dee shared.
He also felt proud of this project as MMK is known for providing high-caliber dramas. Enchong also wanted to end this year in a good way and so this acting piece is perfect for that.
The Kapamilya star also shared the background of his character. He said that Edwin Pranada is someone who has been looking for love as he wasn’t able to receive this from his family. That was the reason why his relationships failed because he does not know to show or receive love.
Through cosmetic and aesthetic tattooing, his passion, he was able to realize how it feels to give happiness to other people. Enchong Dee said that this has always been the message that MMK wants to convey that the life and the story of a person will continue as long as he or she is living and that hope is still there.
