NBI is now Hunting for Actor Jace Flores, Partner for Estafa Complaint

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is now hunting actor Jace Flores and his partner over allegedly estafa complaint against them.

The two allegedly sold false watches and mortgaged the allegedly stolen vehicle, according to an exclusive story by GMA News. Flores (actual name Reynaldo ‘Jace’ Chanco Flores) and his partner Doriz May Santos are accused of selling an expensive watch to Jessie Reyes Gay, a casino financier, in July.

Gay was enthralled by Gay’s narrative because the Swiss watch Audemars Piguet sold by the two suspects was only worth P300,000. According to the report, it is valued more than P3 million on the market.

Gay brought the watch to an authorized servicing center to verify its authenticity. They spent P3,000 to have it checked at an approved service center to see if it was genuine or not. They realized it was false just by looking at the store, he added.

Gay has already filed an estafa case against Flores and Santos with the NBI. Watch collector Rino Uy, on the other hand, recommended that watches be inspected at approved servicing centers before being purchased, especially if they are secondhand.

Another victim, OFW Anna Marie Margarejo, a Singapore jeweler and watch trader, has also filed a case against the two. The suspects allegedly shot Margarejo with a pair of Rolex watches valued at around P500,000, according to Margarejo. The accused allegedly did not show up after making a P100,000 downpayment.

Len Carillo, a talent manager, was also claimed to be a victim. The defendants allegedly provided Carillo with an SUV, according to Carillo. He only found out later that the SUV he had pledged had been stolen. Meanwhile, the two suspects’ cellphones were no longer working.
