Following Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay’s clarification, Bulgar released an erratum
Celebrity couple Ellen Adarna and Derek Ramsay slammed tabloid Bulgar for releasing an article saying that the actress’s son Elias Modesto is not carrying the last name of his father John Lloyd Cruz.
The said article claimed that the name of the young boy written in the wedding invitation of Ellen and Derek was just “Elias Modesto Adarna” which contradicted the reality that “Cruz” was also written there. This did not sit well with the soon-to-be married couple. Through their social media posts, both Ellen and Derek slammed Bulgar.
Derek called the tabloid “the ultimate bearer of fake news” while Ellen said that what Bulgar has done was “non negotiable”. Following the statements from the couple, the tabloid issued an erratum, based on the article in PEP.
In Bulgar’s statement, it stated that after talking to Derek Ramsay, the tabloid opted to apologize for the article it has released. “Taos-pusong humihingi ng paumanhin kina Derek, Ellen Adarna, kay Elias Modesto at sa kanilang pamilya na nasaktan sa isyung hindi ipinagamit ni Ellen sa kanilang anak ni John Lloyd Cruz ang apelyido ng tatay ng bata,” it stated.
The tabloid also stated that Derek has clarified that there is no issue between Ellen and John Lloyd and that they have a good co-parenting relationship.
“Nagkaroon lang ng maling pagkakaintindi ang mga nakakita at nakabasa sa lumabas na wedding invitation nina Derek at Ellen sa social media nang hindi makita ang apelyidong ‘Cruz’ ni John Lloyd dahil natakpan ang bahaging ‘yun sa kagustuhan nilang hindi muna ilabas sa publiko ang ibang detalye ng kasal tulad ng petsa at lugar nito,” Bulgar explained. The tabloid thanked Ellen and Derek for listening and understanding its side regarding this issue.
To recall, in a previous interview, Derek Ramsay was asked if John Lloyd Cruz will be invited to his wedding with Ellen Adarna. He said that he does not mind inviting the father of Elias if his fiancée wanted it. The soon-to-be groom stressed that there is no issue between him and John Lloyd as well.
