Isko Moreno Wants All Candidates for 2022 Elections Should Undergo Drug Test
Presidential aspirant Francisco Isko Moreno Domagoso suggests that all candidates for the upcoming 2022 elections should undergo drug test.
The Mayor of Manila stated that he has no objections to candidates for the 2022 national elections being subjected to drug testing. While doing so, he warned that having a drug addict as the country’s leader would be perilous.

Moreno, who is running for president of the country, noted that it would be difficult for elected politicians to campaign against illegal substances if they were drug users themselves. If they are not participating in such a thing, Moreno urges them to be honest with themselves.
“Dapat ‘yan baka mamaya may adik na kandidato. Can you imagine kapag may adik na presidente. Let’s be honest to ourselves, how can we campaign against drugs eh even the President nagda-drugs?” he replied when asked if the drug test was in favor of making the drug test a requirement for candidates.
Senator Manny Pacquiao and Senate President Vicente Sotto III agreed. Sotto claims to be one of the creators of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, which requires mandatory drug testing for all candidates and persons facing criminal charges, but claims the law was found illegal by the Supreme Court.
Pacquiao has stated that he will undergo a drug test before to campaigning. Also, if Vice President Leni Robredo is subjected to drug testing to establish that he is free of illegal narcotics, he has no objections.
