She was apprehended during a National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) entrapment operation. Dablo allegedly obtained the paperwork she need by slipping past three federal offices.

The US embassy employees, on the other hand, refused to let her pass. Dablo allegedly obtained documentation from the Land Transportation Office, the Department of Foreign Affairs, and even the National Bureau of Investigation using the identity of a “Sheny Mae Liza,” whose father is a green card holder in the United States.

She was supposed to get a US visa, but she submitted the application with her photo. During their investigation, the NBI discovered that the suspect pleaded with Liza’s family to let him use Sheny Mae’s personal information, but they refused.

The suspect, on the other hand, proceeded to use Sheny Mae’s information without her consent. According to NBI-7 Regional Director Atty. Renan Augustus Oliva, the suspect faces charges of violating RA 8239, the Philippine Passport Act of 1996 (securing by false representations), falsification by a private individual, and violation of RA 10175, the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

After the US embassy requested that the NBI undertake a background check on the suspect, Dablo’s acts were found. Dablo provided evidence, including the suspect’s passport with the suspect’s face but Liza’s data details. The suspect was being held at the NBI detention center after refusing to deliver a statement.
