His jokes seemed to come true, according to him, and he was convinced that he was a nasty person. He explained what happened and why he was misidentified for a shoplifter in this video.

“Natakot ako… para akong binalikan ng mga jokes ko,” said Tekla, a well-known stand-up comedian. “Nakabayad na ako actually, so palabas na ako ng pinto at hinarang ako sabi ‘sir may kinuha po kasi kayo sir, yan lang po ba ang binili niyo?’ yun ang approach niya sakin,” he added.

According to him, the establishment’s security highlighted him since he was supposedly captured on CCT stealing something. Despite his protests, the stated saleslady is supposed to have searched him.

Tekla claimed to have taken an item, although he did not. After he put his hand in his pocket, the saleslady may have assumed he took the item. Fortunately, the convenience store’s cashier recognized him.

The item she was looking for was a roll-on deodorant, he revealed. Even though he was in a stressful situation, the comedian couldn’t help but laugh. The mentioned convenience store has yet to issue an official statement regarding Tekla’s treatment by their saleslady.

“Ang hinahanap sakin roll on, sabi ko ‘ha, ni maligo nga di ko kayang gawin mag deodorant pa?”
