If he will become a President, Bato Dela Rosa will sign the ABS-CBN franchise
Senator Ronald Bato Dela Rosa expressed that he is willing to sign the franchise of ABS-CBN but stressed this condition.
Dela Rosa, on the last day of the filing of candidacy, surprised many Filipinos. Hours before the deadline, he filed his COC under PDP-Laban, the political party where President Rodrigo Duterte belongs.
As one of the presidential aspirants, he was asked about certain issues that were also asked for others who are aiming for the same position. In a recent interview, Bato Dela Rosa was asked about his stand on the franchise renewal of the Kapamilya network.
Based on the article in Inquirer, the Senator said that it is still too early to tell. However, he said that if this will pass in Congress and Senate, he will sign it.
On the other hand, the Senator has this condition before he will sign the bill. “Pipirmahan ko ‘yan basta satisfied ako sa lahat ng pag-deliberate sa issues. Masagot ‘yung lahat ng issues, bakit di ko pipirmahan? Pero kung hindi satisfactorily ma-address lahat ng issues, then baka magda-dalawang-isip ako,” he said.
The Senator also clarified his past statement after the Kapamilya network shot down. He said that employee should find another job. For the Senator what he said wa a good advice. “Napakaganda naman ng aking advice sa mga trabahante ng ABS-CBN. Bakit kinukutya ko ba sila? Pinuput down ko ba sila? Hindi naman,” Bato Dela Rosa said.
Previously, Bato Dela Rossa was also asked about the issue on Marcoses and the Nobel Prize award of Maria Ressa of Rappler.
