San Juan Reopens Online Booking System for Visitation Appointments in Cemetery

San Juan City government has reopened its online booking system for visitation appointments in the cemetery.

On Monday (October 18, 2021), the local government of San Juan City has reactivated the online booking system for cemetery visits. The program has been made as a preparation for the upcoming UNDAS 2021 to prevent the overcrowding in cemeteries.

San Juan LGU said that only two visitors will be allowed per booking at the San Juan City. Only individuals with appointments will be allowed to visit the cemetery from October 18 – 28 and November 3 – 7.

“Last year, this was very effective in preventing super spreader events so we decided to once again implement the online booking for appointments to the cemetery to make sure we avoid having the usual crush during Undas,” Mayor Francis Zamora said.

Zamora said that only 300 visitors will be allowed per time slot to avoid the possible spread of the coronavirus disease. The local government would also inspect the cemetery to ensure that it will comply with the health and safety protocols.

The cemetery is already preparing to accept visitors starting 9:30 am on Monday as the local government implements Executive Order No. MFZ-093, series of 2021 declaring the closure of cemeteries from October 29 to November 2, 2021.
