Kapuso A-list actress Bea Alonzo shared a colorful way of taking care of her mental health, especially in coping up with the new normal.

Prior to the health crisis that is happening in the whole world, Bea was already dealing with her personal crisis. In 2019, her breakup with her former boyfriend actor Gerald Anderson created a loud buzz. It was the talk of the town.

Then, came 2020 when the whole Philippines was shocked by the pandemic. The entertainment industry was greatly affected also. Just recently, Bea Alonzo had to do a major decision when it comes to her career – her network transfer.

From being a Kapamilya for 20 years, she decided to move to the Kapuso network. Amid these major happenings in the life of the actress, based on the article in The Philippine Star’s Lifestyle section, she had a colorful way of taking care of her mental health.

She said that her beauty regimen played a big part in this. “As an artista for 20 years, I am being glammed up every day for work, so ‘di ko binago ‘yun,” the actress said. She shared that she would still wear makeup every day even though she has no showbiz engagement as this gave her a sense of normalcy.

I make sure to dress up just to make me feel like I’m myself again,” the A-list actress added. Bea is doing Chromotherapy or Color Therapy. It is a form of mental and holistic health therapy that focuses on colors like using colored light, wearing colorful clothes, or putting colors on the face or makeup, just like what Bea Alonzo did.

“But for those who want to be more relaxed or don’t want to wear makeup, it’s okay, we have different coping mechanisms,” the actress said.
