Robredo Lauded On Social Media For Quick Response To Flooding Reports

ROBREDO LAUDED – Vice President Leni Robredo was praised for her quick response in the recent flooding in Cagayan, Isabela, Benguet, and La Union.

Tropical storm “Maring” has impacted areas such as Batanes, Cagayan, Apayao, Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, and the northern portion of Isabela. Because of this, residents in those areas called out for help on social media as floods continue to intensify.

Among the first to respond was Robredo who posted on 12:52 A.M. that she already received additional reports of residents trapped due to the flooding.

“We’re receiving additional reports that rescue of trapped residents also needed in Candon City and other parts of Ilocos Sur.”

Furthermore, Leni followed up that she had formed two teams ready to assist those in need in Cagayan, Isabela, Benguet, and La Union.

“Ready to deploy our teams already to provide relief assistance but we need help from those who have equipment for rescue ops“, she said.

Much like the previous storm Ulysses in 2020, Robredo was among the first to respond to flooding reports. Moreover, she was quick to provide relief aid to those in need.

Due to this, Robredo was once again lauded by netizens on social media. Here are some of the comments:

“the real flex is that she has been doing this throughout her term and throughout the pandemic. have any of you tried e-consulta? my friends were surprised that it actually worked when they were desperate for help. this is our hope guys, this is why we have to fight for her to win. this is what we want our government to be”

At around 1:30 A.M., Robredo gave an update that the PNP and AFP were already conducting rescue operations. Afterward, she called for those with rubber boats near the area to help assist those crying for help.
