Mel Tiangco and Kim Atienza shared this common situation
Veteran Kapuso broadcaster Mel Tiangco said this during Kuya Kim Atienza’s first episode on GMA’s primetime news program 24 Oras.
Both Mel and Kuya Kim came from the Kapamilya network who later on became Kapuso. They were also part of ABS-CBN’s primetime news program TV Patrol.
Mel was one of the anchors of the Kapamilya current affairs program while Kuya Kim was the weatherman and he would also share facts about different things and personalities.
On October 11, Kuya Kim finally had his first episode on 24 Oras with his new segment Ano Na? Mel Tiangco happily welcomed him, based on the article in PEP.
“Welcome sa 24 Oras, ha. Kumusta? Anong pakiramdam mo na nasa ibang tahanan ka ngayon? At siyempre, iba ang iyong mga kasama ngayon, kami nina Vicky. Alam mo, iba ang atmosphere ‘ika nga, ganoon ba, Kuya Kim?” the veteran broadcaster said.
Kuya Kim answered that he really feels the meaning of the name of their network, Kapuso. He shared that he has been feeling the love and support from his fellow Kapuso. “Maraming-maraming salamat sa inyong lahat,” Kim Atienza said.
Vicky Morales asked the new Kapuso host about his message to all the Kapuso, the latter said that he is very much thankful for the warm welcome that he received.
He also promised that he will be the “best Kuya Kim that he could be by God’s grace.” The TV personality once again thanked all the Kapuso.
In that episode on Monday, Kuya Kim discussed crocodiles and it was former Kapamilya actress Bea Alonzo who asked about how dangerous the said animal is.
