President Duterte Believes Bato Dela Rosa Will Be the Next Philippine’s President
President Rodrigo Roa Duterte believes that Senator Ronald “Bato Dela Rosa will win the presidential race in May 2022 election.
The President stated in an interview that no one can predict the outcome of the 2022 elections. Dela Rosa, who is believed to be close to the President, made a last-minute decision, according to him.
“Kasi wala kaming ulo, and I think PDP decided (at the) last minute or the last day of the filing of the certificates that it would be good to have at least a head of the whole team,” said Duterte.
“Alam mo sa totoo lang he might still make it, with so many candidates filing certificates of candidacy, he might, you know, we can never tell that destiny of man, and it would be good to have a military man as president of this republic,” he added.

It will be noted that Sen. became the PDP-last-minute Laban’s candidate. Even the legislator’s family was astonished by Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa’s election to the presidency. Dela Rosa is now seen as a long shot among presidential hopefuls, with many believing he could be a replacement for Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte.
But, according to the senator, he is serious about carrying on the President’s ‘legacy.’ Senator Bong Go, the PDP-vice Laban’s presidential candidate, would have Bato as his running mate.
Meanwhile, a reporter who looked to be asking a disrespectful question to the PDP-Laban presidential candidate couldn’t help but respond. A reporter inquired whether Bato’s presidential campaign constituted a parody of the country’s electoral process.
Dela Rosa immediately responded, claiming that the question was insensitive. Bato then challenged the narrative, asking if the people who voted for him thought what he did as a senator was a joke.
