KTV Bar Shutdown for Operating Despite GCQ Alert Level 4 in Pasay City
Pasay City local authorities have shutdown a KTV bar after being caught operating despite the prohibition under the General Community Quarantine (GCQ) alert level 4.
The KTV bar was discovered operating, according to the Pasay local administration, despite the fact that this type of business is still forbidden in areas designated as Alert Level 4. Six of the company’s employees were arrested for breaking health and safety procedures, according to Pasay City police head P/Colonel Cesar Paday-os.

Michael Relampago, 29, floor manager; Efren Pusing, 32, waiter; Mark Anthony Cervito, 27; Joel Caalim, 26; Jerry Quartero, 33; and Arjay Glen Rebulas, 33, were the KTV bar employees detained, according to Paday-os. Members of the Station Intelligence Section raided the GLX Galaxy KTV Bar at Hobbies of Asia, Macapagal Boulevard, based on a report filed to Paday-os.
According to Paday-os, the raid on the institution occurred after authorities received information that the claimed KTV bar was open and serving predominantly Chinese and Korean clientele. No clients were arrested in the operation because the institution was already closed when operatives arrived in the area, according to the report.
Relampago is charged with breaking Republic Act 11332. (non-cooperation of the person or entities identified as having a noticeable disease or affected by the health event of an emergency). Ordinance Violation Receipts (OVRs) were issued to the other five arrested for failing to observe social distancing and failing to comply with curfew hours.
