Authorities stated CCTV evidence was unavailable at the time of the event, but a concerned driver had video of the alleged vehicle involved, based on the report. Ebol was transported to Quezon City’s East Avenue Medical Center for treatment. The incident had already been reported to his family.
An old model car checked the victim and observed him splayed after he hit him, according to a worried motorist. The driver gave the suspect a quick glance before closing the door, turning on his hazard lights, and speeding away.
The MMDA, on its part, asked motorists to be cautious and respectful of street sweepers, who do not take up a lot of street space. The MMDA Traffic Czar Edison Bong Nebrija is perplexed as to why the street sweeper was hit since the traffic conditions were clear and there were few vehicles on the road.
Authorities are currently investigating the surveillance footage provided by the concerned individual in order to identify the perpetrator. The culprit could be charged with reckless imprudence causing serious bodily harm.
