Jane de Leon is set to start filming her Darna series in next month
Kapamilya actress Jane de Leon shared what she felt when she did the fitting for her Darna costume as she is set to start the shooting in November.
Jane has been waiting for this moment to happen as severl postponement already happened in this project. Initially, it was intended to be a movie but ABS-CBN decided to do it as a TV series.
Jane had to bid goodbye to her character in Ang Probinsyano for her big project playing the iconic Pinay superhero character. Based on the article in Manila Bulletin, the actress expressed excitement as her first taping day is just around the corner. Next month, she will start filming and she has an overwhelming feeling preparing for this.
“Kinikilig ako na excited na kinakabahan sa totoo lang. Iba pa rin ang pakiramdam kapag malapit na kasi malapit na talaga kaming magsimula,” Jane de Leon shared.
Part of her preparation is actively training as she has to do some actions scenes. Jane is also dieting in order to maintain her figure.
She also shared that she already had her costume fitting and she felt even more excited. “Actually nakapagfit na ako ng costume. Naiyak ako, ‘yung feeling na nilalagay na sa akin ‘yung headdress. Nagpapasalamat ako kay Lord na matutuloy na,” the actress shared.
This month, pre-production for Darna continues. It’s the 115th birth anniversary this Oct. 9 of Darna creator Mars Ravelo. Jane de Leon also shared her thoughts on this. “Gusto kong pasalamatan ang Ravelo family sa ‘di matatawarang legacy na paglikha sa superhero natin na si Darna at sa pagtitiwala sa akin na ibigay ang bato. Maraming salamat po,” she said.
