Netizens Slams Jeepney Driver After Hitting Female Pedestrian in Pasay City
A female pedestrian passes away after suffering serious injuries after she was rammed by a rushing jeepney in Pasay City.
Elsie Caboteja breaks down and bursts into tears after seeing her lifeless daughter identified as Hazel along Andrew’s avenue in Pasay City. Hazel has been declared dead-on-the-spot after the tragic incident.
Caboteja is currently seeking justice for her late daughter. “Kaya pala hindi ako makatulog kanina, sabi ko bakit alas dose na masakit ang dibdib ko,” the victim’s mom reiterated.
Rex Netizon, Hazel’s boyfriend narrated that he and his girlfriend is walking on their way home when a public jeepney hits them. The jeep also rammed another vehicle parked along the road and an elf truck.
The police authorities immediately arrested the jeepney driver identified as Luis Bonafus Jr. who denied the accusations. The driver explained that he left the jeep’s key on the vehicle and went out to drink a cup of coffee during the time of incident.
“Kumakain ako gulat na lang ako ng may nagsabing kuya takbo na ang jeep mo tapos may nabangga, sino ang drayber, sino ang nagdala? Sana po maunawaan niyo at mapatawad niyo di ko po naman kasalanan ma’am, sana maawa kayo sakin, at ako naman sana ay may witness na magsai kung ano ang totoo” Bonafus said.
Netizon has also expressed his frustration regarding the incident since he and Hazel have future plans. “Mag go-grocery kami bukas, maaga kaming gigising bukas tapos wala po e, hindi naming alam na magiging ganito,” Rex said.
