This is the reason why Epy Quizon is not on social media
Actor Epy Quizon revealed that his attitude of being “marupok” is the reason why he is staying away from social media.
Epy is one of the children of the late King of Comedy Dolphy who also ventured into show business. Throughout his years in the entertainment industry, Epy has did various roles but he is much known for his comedic stints, just like his father.
Aside from acting, Epy also uses his artistic ability in writing songs, and the song that he did for MagkaisaPH caught the attention of a certain politician. This initiative of Epy Quizon came from his previous duty as a peace advocate during the presidency of Noynoy Aquino.
In a recent interview, he revealed that his advocacy song Lukso ng Dugo was attempted to be bought by a politician. However, he refused to give in as he is leading a non-profit organization. He stressed that the song is no longer his as it already belongs to the artists who collaborated with him.
In a recent interview also, based on the GMA’s report, Epy said that he has no personal social media account. When it comes to various platforms online the ones attached to him are just the social media accounts of MagkaisaPH and Epyq Films.
He said that he feels down every time he would see people fighting online and he is not accommodating to those attacking him for the post he just reposted. “People will be handling my social media for me because, honestly, I get lost,” the actor admitted.
“Ako rin kasi, you know, madali akong tamaan. May magsabi lang sa akin na, ‘Ang baduy mo, Epy,’ ano na, ‘Ay, baduy daw ako.’ Dinadala ko siya, I cannot just put it aside. Ano ko, marupok ako in terms of social media, so I don’t think I am for that,” he added.
Epy Quizon also stressed that he has no plan of entering politics and stand by what his father has also said before. He said that Dolphy was right when he said that it is easy to win the election but what he will do after winning is the question. “Same here. I’m a storyteller, I’m not a politician,” Epy said.
