Epy Quizon Turned Down P30M from Politician to Buy His Advocacy Song

Epy Quizon Allegedly Refuses P30M Offer from Politician to Buy His Advocacy Song

EPY QUIZON – Filipino actor and singer revealed that he turned down the P30 million offer from a politician who would allegedly buy his advocacy song.

During the season of numerous political campaigns, Epy launched his advocacy platform MagkaisaPH. The song tries to bring people together in the Philippines, even on social media, to mend old wounds. He will debut his tune “Lukso Ng Dugo,” which serves as the theme song for his advocacy initiative MagkaisaPH, in October.

Gary Valenciano & Yeng Constantino, Iza Calzado, and Matteo Guidicelli were among the 30 performers who endorsed the song. Because of the timing of his advocacy campaign, Quizon promptly knocked off talk about his entry into politics at the outset of the virtual media conference.

Epy stated that the launch of MagkaisaPH was unrelated to politics. It turns out that the actor-director sowed the seeds of MagkaisaPH when he was appointed as a peace advocate under the late President Noynoy Aquino’s administration.

He also stated that the siege of Marawi motivated him to compose such a song. Quizon also stated that his desire for peace in the country extends beyond his worry for Mindanao, where he witnessed youths being drafted for war in hot places.

Epy Quizon was meant to be a millionaire, but he declined a significant sum of money offered by a politician in exchange for his song. When a politician gave him P30 million, he did not go blind.

MagkaisaPH is not a money-making venture, according to Quizon. He said that a political entity asked him P30 million to license his song “Lukso Ng Dugo” for a campaign.

“Napaisip ako, nabulag ako for a few minutes and told my friend, director Jourdan Sebastian, solved na tayo dito,” he said.

“I just told them I can make you another song but not this one, this is now owned by the artists who collaborated with me. It’s not about Epy Quizon,” he added.
