Aiko Melendez was asked if she’ll interview someone like Bongbong Marcos
Actress Aiko Melendez has this answer when asked about the viral interview that Toni Gonzaga did with former Senator Bongbong Marcos but other celebrities refused to react.
Several celebrities have ventured into vlogging. They feature different contents on their own channel but one of the popular contents they have is interview with famous personalities.
On the Toni Talks vlog of Toni Gonzaga, her interview with BBM, who was already endorsed by the Kilusang Bagong Lipunan (KBL) as its standard-bearer, went controversial.
Mixed reactions were expressed regarding this. In a recent article by entertainment columnist Dolly Anne Carvajal on Inquirer, she said that she asked several celebrities if they are willing to interview a personality as controversial as Bongbong Marcos.
“Many celebs begged off from answering. The only brave soul who gamely replied was my “sis,” Aiko Melendez,” the columnist said.
The reply of this actress was, “Yes, I will still interview someone like Bongbong Marcos.” Her reason for this is that the video-sharing social media platform is an avenue for millennials and the generation Z to be aware of the current issues.
Aiko also said that Toni did a great job as she was fair with the intention to inform and entertan her viewers and not to please her bashers.
The actress also pointed out that in a democratic country like the Philippines, YouTubers and content creators have the right to do set the rules on their channel Aiko Melendez added that bashers can create their YouTube channel as well and feature whoever they please. “They have the option to skip my video if they don’t like it,” the actress stressed.
Meanwhile, as of this writing, Bongbong Marcos has not accepted yet the nomination coming from the political party that his father former President Ferdinand Marcos. BBM said that he will make the announcement very soon.
