John Riel Casimero Apologized to Co-Boxer Nonito Donaire Over Rude Statements
Filipino boxer John Riel Casimero lower down the heat against Nonito Donaire after he apologized for his rude remarks previously towards the boxer.
WBO world bantamweight champion John Riel Casimero takes on WBC world bantamweight titleholder Nonito Donaire Jr. on the Powcast Sports Podcast on YouTube. “Quadro Alas” seemed to have displayed his modest side to the Filipino flash in this episode.
Casimero, 31, has apologized to Donaire, 38, for the fight between the two fighters created by the former’s gossip, which resulted in the latter’s cancellation of their August unification bout. Casimero is said to have hurled vulgar comments at Donaire, causing the two to become enraged.
“Sinabi ko sa asawa mo (Rachel) na pasensiya na kung ang mga kasama ko may nagawang mali. Kaya tuldukan na natin, tapusin na natin. Sumagot ako sa interview ngayon para sa darating na laban,” said Casimero.
The boxer from the United States responded that he accepts the professional boxer’s apologies. Donaire’s wife has been drawn into the controversy after Casimero made a derogatory comment about her on his video blog.
Donaire was upset over Casimero’s alleged remarks to his wife. Donaire lambasted misogynistic culture and Casimero for acting unprofessionally with his wife, claiming that the Filipino boxer snacked his private parts.
Casimero is also remembered for belittling Donaire after defeating Cuban boxer Guillermo Rigondeaux, who had previously defeated the Filipino boxer. Casimero mocks Donaire, claiming that the Cuban boxer who beat him was weak against him.
