Celebrities and politicians alike have taken to social media to vent their displeasure with martial law. Actress Angel Locsin was one of those who spoke out against Marcos.

“Those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it.” – George Santayana #NeverAgain #NeverForget #MarcosIsNotAHero,” Angel said in his post.

Her ardent supporters and anti-Marcos netizens back her up in her fight against the country’s tragic experiences when martial law was imposed. Angel, on the other hand, has not been without criticism from those who still believe in the previous President.

Supporters of Marcos blasted her and stated facts that contradicted her post. With 23,000,000 Facebook followers, Angel’s post has gotten the most “haha” replies thus far.

The tremendous support for the Marcoses among netizens has been a source of consternation for some opposition sympathizers. Marcos’ detractors, on the other hand, blamed the propagation of “misinformation” on social media, which explains why many people still revere him.

There are even suggestions that Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. may compete for the top office in the nation, which has detractors recalling the events of martial law. BBM is defended by the netizens and his supporters from his father’s actions while he was in the term.
