A fan of Kathryn Bernardo is using her name
The camp of actress Kathryn Bernardo revealed that a fan demanded her to pay a shocking amount of money and this is the reason behind this.
Kathryn has been in the industry since she was just a young girl. Undoubtedly, she is one of the most popular actresses of her generation. With this kind of status in show business, it comes with the fact that she is among the celebrities who have huge fandoms not just in the Philippines but also abroad.
However, based on the recent Instagram post of Mommy Min Bernardo, the mother of Kathryn Bernado, some fans of the actress have been using her name for their own gain.
Mommy Min said that the Facebook account of her daughter has been under the management of a fan for four years now and it already has over 12 million followers. She said that the fan won’t give back the account, which has been existing since the time Kathryn was doing Goin Bulilit, to the camp of the actress.
The mother of the actress also said that there was someone who is also handling the bernardokath.com but they were not behind this. Mommy Min shared that they requested the handler to just give them the domain since the name belongs to the actress and they will just pay a certain amount.
“Na shock lang kami sa asking amount nya fan pa daw sya since 2013 …Sad to say sarili mo ng pangalan di mo pwedeng gamitin,” Mommy Min revealed. Because of this, the camp of Kathryn Bernardo announced that official social media accounts of the actress asked fans not to use her name and photo on their own accounts.
