Rez Cortez is Now Cancer-Free After Undergoing Surgery, Cai Cortez Announced
CAI CORTE – The Filipina actress-comedienne proudly announced that her father Rez Cortez is now cancer-free after undergoing surgery.
Cai Cortez recently updated her Instagram followers on her father Rez Cortez’s health. She posted a video on her Instagram account to share the happy news with their family and everyone who has been supporting them.
She began the video by thanking everyone who reached out to their family and inquired about the well-being of the famous actor. She also expressed gratitude to everyone who prayed for her father.
“Hi, thank you so much sa mga nagdasal at nagtanong kung kamusta si daddy but I’m so happy to announce that daddy is cancer-free.”

The Starting Over actress is also relieved that her father would be able to spend more time with his grandchildren. Rez may also be heard saying, “Praise the Lord!” A nice dialogue took place between the father and daughter, in which they acknowledged their love for one another.
Meanwhile, Cai’s Instagram post has gotten a lot of attention from her followers, including some well-known celebrities like Carmina Villaroel and Dianne Medina. Cai had previously requested prayers on her social media account in order for her father to survive the surgery that he is undergoing.
Some netizens and fellow performers congratulated the parent on his successful operation. Several celebrities, including Pancho Magno, Kakai Bautista, and Thou Reyes, who co-starred in Cai’s First Yaya, sent prayers and messages of support to the Cortez family.
Throughout his long career, Rez has acted in a variety of films, many of which were action films in which he played villains with performers such as Fernando Poe Jr. From 2016 to 2017, he appeared on the same network’s “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” as PC/Supt. Rogelio Jacob. Rez was nominated for an Academy Award in 2013 for his performance in the critically praised Cinemalaya film “Bwakaw,” for which he received a nomination for “best supporting actor.”
