Davao Mayor Sara Duterte Warned Unvaxxed City Hall Staff to Face Punishment

SARA DUTERTE – The Davao City Mayor has warned her city hall staff to get vaccinated or to face punishment if they are still working unvaxxed.

Sara Duterte-Carpio has ordered that all city employees be inoculated against the devastating coronavirus sickness (COVID-1). The law includes all staff positions, job order (JO) and contract of service (COS) employees, and even volunteers for the COVID-19 response, according to the mayor’s Executive Order No. 45.

“Department Heads and Chiefs-of-Offices, through their respective Administrative Officers, shall ensure that all personnel assigned in their offices are fully vaccinated on or before November 30, 2021,” Mayor Sara said.

“Full vaccination for COVID-19 shall be made mandatory to all personnel of the City Government of Davao. This shall include staff, job order, contract of service, and volunteers,” she added.

Employees of the Davao City administration who refuse to be immunized would face consequences, including dismissal if they do so again. The mayor also directed the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) to coordinate vaccination schedules for city hall staff with the Davao City COVID-19 Task Force Vaccination Cluster.

Unvaccinated employees will be held administratively liable for insubordination, with penalties ranging from one (1) month and one (1) day to six (6) months for the first offense, and dismissal from the service for the second offense, according to Section 50 (d) of the 20I7 Rules on Administrative Cases in the Civil Service (2017 RACCS).

Job orders, contracts of service, and volunteers, on the other hand, may be exempted from mandatory vaccination provided the Vaccine Cluster Head certifies to HRMO that they are exempted owing to a medical condition that is mentioned as a contraindication in all available vaccines.

“No other reason for exemption shall be allowed,” the EO stated. The HRMO, in collaboration with the COVID-19 Task Force Immunization Cluster Data Management Team, will monitor and validate the vaccination of all local government employees, according to the EO.

  1. If its the way it is, “No other reason for exemption shall be allowed,” she is in trouble. She is a dangerous presidentiable not respecting the due process and the rule of law.
