Here’s The New Policy For Metro Manila Alert Level 4 Starting September 16
METRO MANILA – Earlier, it was confirmed that Metro Manila will be placed under Alert Level 4.
As the number of COVID-19 cases continues to rise in Metro Manila, a new lockdown system was implemented. This was created to ease economic restrictions while maintaining public safety.
Come September 16, Metro Manila would have granular lockdowns with Alert Level systems in place. Here are the things you need to know about Alert Level 4:
Persons below 18 years of age and older than 65 years old with health comorbidities are not allowed to go outside their homes. Along with this, Pregnant women are also supposed to stay indoors.
But, they are permitted to go outside when purchasing essential goods or services or working in essential industries. Meanwhile, the following services would be prohibited:
- Indoor visitor or tourist attractions
- Indoor leisure centers
- Gyms
- Recreational venues
- Gaming establishments
- Mass gatherings
- Meetings
- Staycations
Here are the services allowed to operate with 30% capacity:
- Outdoor dine-in services
- Barbershops
- Hair spas
- Nail spas
- Neauty salons
- Physical religious gatherings
Meanwhile, these establishments can continue to serve customers indoors for up to 10% of their capacity. However, it would only be available for those who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Government agencies and instrumentalities must continue to operate normally in certain locations, with a minimum of 20% on-site capacity backed up by work-from-home arrangements.
The lowest Alert Level 1 in the COVID-19 alert level system will allow mobility of people in enterprises and activities that are classified as 3Cs — closed areas, congested areas, and spaces that allow close contact.
Areas under Alert Level 5 will continue to be under the same protocols that apply the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
